Project Overview
This project showcases a holistic redesign approach that merges user‑centred design with Life Cycle Assessment to improve both ergonomics and environmental performance.
Developed as part of a Master’s thesis in Sustainable Design Engineering, the work demonstrates how behavioural insights and sustainability metrics can drive meaningful product innovation.
Due to NDA constraints, product‑specific details and visuals have been intentionally generalized. The focus remains on the design process, methodology, and validated outcomes achieved.
Outcome
The redesigned product achieved a 24% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to the previous version—demonstrating how behaviour‑driven design and LCA can meaningfully reduce environmental impact while improving user experience.
